The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has successfully received a total of GHS 67,671,080 from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission. This amount is designated for the non-feeding portion of teacher trainee allowances, covering a five-month period for students enrolled in 47 Public Colleges of Education across the country. The final tranche of this amount was received on July 29, 2025.
Following this, on August 1, 2025, the SLTF disbursed allowances for five months to 30,157 teacher trainees from 37 Public Colleges of Education. These payments were based on the student data available at the time.
Currently, the SLTF is in the process of receiving additional student data from the various Colleges of Education. Payments to these students will be made promptly after the data is received and cleared through preliminary audits.
The SLTF maintains its commitment to transparency and efficiency. Stakeholders are kindly asked for patience as the institution follows due processes to ensure that government assistance reaches all eligible students.
In recent days, there have been negative comments on official posts. The SLTF respectfully encourages the public to keep online interactions respectful, acknowledging the efforts of the dedicated team working behind the scenes to ensure timely support.
Additionally, the SLTF continues to process No-Fees-Stress reimbursements. The extended deadline for these reimbursements is intended to accommodate all eligible students and ensure proper registration.
Stay safe and remain hopeful.
