SLTF Completes Second Batch Payment for Teacher Trainee Allowances

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has successfully disbursed funds to the second batch of teacher trainees, covering approximately 10,000 of the remaining 36,000 applicants. This follows a rigorous pre-auditing process aimed at ensuring accuracy and accountability.

This five-month allowance payment covers eligible trainees from Level 100 through to Level 400, confirming that all within this batch have now received their funds. The first group of trainees received their payments in July, while the second batch underwent further verification to align with institutional records and eligibility requirements.

According to the SLTF, the pre-auditing stage was essential to maintain transparency and uphold accountability in the disbursement process. Trainees who have received payment notifications are advised to visit their respective banks, load their E-Zwich cards, and withdraw their funds.

A notification from the Trust Fund to beneficiaries reads:

> Dear Student,
> The Government of Ghana has paid five months of your Teacher Trainee Allowances for the 2024/2025 academic year. Please visit any bank to load your e-zwich card and withdraw your funds. For assistance, please contact: 0302751020.

The Trust Fund has also reassured trainees who are yet to receive their allowances, and are not part of the second batch, to remain patient. It has committed to working diligently to address outstanding cases and ensure that all remaining payments are completed soon.
