TTAG Meets GES to Address Posting Concerns for 2023 Education Graduates

On June 2, 2025, the leadership of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) held a significant engagement with the Ghana Education Service (GES) to address growing concerns about the delayed postings of 2023 graduates from public Colleges of Education.

The TTAG team, led by President H.E. Razak Soale, met with the Director-General of GES, Prof. Frank Kofi Davis. The session included several key figures from the GES Directorate—among them the Head of Legal Affairs, Internal Auditor, Head of Public Relations, and the General Secretary.

Following this high-level meeting, TTAG shared three key updates:

1. GES has completed and submitted the full recruitment budget that covers all 2023 graduates from public Colleges of Education.

2. This budget has already received approval from both the Ministry of Finance and the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education.

3. Recruitment and posting are set to begin once the Ministry of Finance grants final financial clearance.

The Director-General gave firm assurance that the recruitment process will go ahead within the year. He emphasized his commitment to ensuring that the process is fair, transparent, and efficient—especially as this marks his first time overseeing such an exercise.

TTAG commended the Director-General’s proactive and transparent handling of the matter and called on all relevant institutions to act promptly to ensure that the financial clearance is processed without unnecessary delays.

The Association reaffirmed its dedication to keeping 2023 graduates updated and stated its continued engagement with key stakeholders—especially the Ministry of Finance—to fast-track the clearance process. In the meantime, TTAG encouraged all graduates to remain calm and hopeful as steps are being taken to secure timely postings.
