The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially clarified the categorization status of St. Monica’s Senior High School, located in Mampong, for the 2025 academic year. Contrary to previous records, the school is correctly classified as a Category 'A' institution. An earlier listing that placed the school under Category 'B' was made in error and is to be disregarded.
This correction is particularly important for heads of Junior High Schools (JHS), who are urged to update all relevant stakeholders — including candidates, parents, and guardians — with this revised information. As students prepare for the school selection process, they should be guided by the correct designation of St. Monica’s SHS as a Category 'A' school.
Regional Directors have been tasked with disseminating this update to all educational units within their respective Metro, Municipal, and District offices. The objective is to ensure every JHS head is made aware and acts accordingly in light of this change.
This directive was issued by Mr. Prince Agyemang-Duah, Director of the Schools and Instructions Division, on behalf of the Acting Director-General of GES. The notification has also been copied to key officials within the GES, including the Chairman of the GES Council and various Deputy Directors-General at the Headquarters in Accra.
Thanks for sharing Boss
