Ghana School Feeding Programme Terminates All Caterer Contracts Nationwide

In a significant development under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP), the National Coordinator, Hajia Fati Forgor, has officially announced the immediate termination of contracts for all caterers serving the initiative across the country.

The directive, issued on May 2, 2025, mandates that no current caterer under the programme should provide meals for the upcoming third term of the 2024/2025 academic year. This decision comes as part of a broader restructuring effort being undertaken by the GSFP Secretariat.

While caterers have been instructed to halt services, the Secretariat has assured that all outstanding arrears from the second term of the current academic year will be settled in due time. Additionally, the GSFP plans to soon unveil the procedures and requirements for the recruitment of new caterers as part of the reorganization.

This move marks a notable shift in the administration of the GSFP and signals forthcoming changes aimed at improving the programme’s implementation and service delivery.

The announcement was also communicated to key officials, including the Minister and Chief Director of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), Regional Coordinators of the GSFP, and the Controller and Accountant General.
