On April 17, 2025, the National Service Authority (NSA) officially released Personal Identification Numbers (PIN codes) for 18,011 qualified nurses and midwives across the country. This marks the beginning of preparations for enrollment into the 2025/26 national service year.

Eligible individuals are directed to access the NSA’s official website at (http://www.nss.gov.gh) to retrieve their PIN codes. This can be done using their unique student ID numbers and dates of birth.

As part of the registration process, prospective service personnel are required to pay a registration fee. The fee is GH¢40.00 when paid at any ADB Bank branch. Alternatively, registration can also be completed via MTN Mobile Money at a cost of GH¢41.00.

Enrollment begins on April 17, 2025, and will close on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. The NSA urges all eligible candidates to complete their registration promptly within this period.

The Authority also took the opportunity to remind the public of the legal requirement outlined in the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119). According to the Act, every Ghanaian citizen aged 18 years or older who has completed any accredited tertiary education—whether university or nursing training college—is legally obligated to undertake national service.
