Beware of Fake GES Recruitment Ads and Appointment Letters: Official Statement from GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a strong warning to the general public concerning the rise in fake recruitment adverts and appointment letters circulating on various social media platforms. These fraudulent materials falsely claim to offer recruitment opportunities into the GES.

According to an official statement from the GES, while the Honourable Minister for Education has indeed confirmed in Parliament the government’s intention to recruit approximately 50,000 teachers and 10,000 non-teaching staff, it is important to note that the recruitment process has not yet begun.

The GES assures the public that when the legitimate recruitment process officially starts, it will be announced through recognized GES communication channels. These will include their official website, reputable newspapers, and other credible media platforms.

Importantly, all recruitment processes by GES are entirely free. No person or group is authorized to collect any form of payment for recruitment, processing, or issuing of appointment letters. Any such request should be regarded as fraudulent.

GES further emphasizes that the appointment letters currently being circulated on social media are fake. Prospective applicants are cautioned to avoid these scams, which are designed to deceive and exploit unsuspecting individuals.

The public is encouraged to report anyone involved in these deceptive activities to the nearest police station for prompt action.

Finally, the GES reiterated its commitment to transparency and integrity, urging all applicants and stakeholders to rely solely on official communications from the Service.
